Tornado investigates computational form-finding methods for log construction systems inspired by Kengo Kuma's Cafe Kurone project. The research establishes that 14-degree rotational increments between stacked timber layers achieve optimal structural performance based on center of gravity (CG) analysis and simulation modeling. Through systematic Fusion 360 simulation testing rotation angles from 5-45 degrees, the project identified 14 degrees as the configuration minimizing displacement, contact pressure, and maintaining equilibrium within acceptable safety factors.
