Origami explores deployable architectural systems using folding patterns that enable structures to expand from compact storage configurations to full-scale installations. Inspired by Cecil Balmond's organic structural forms and knitting's single-line force distribution, the project investigates how origami fold patterns distribute localized forces throughout entire assemblies. Material testing revealed that wood-veneer coupled with mesh fabric (0.6mm veneer with mesh reinforcement) achieved optimal balance between structural rigidity and deployment flexibility.
