Dragon skin pavilion

This project investigates architectural systems that can 'grow' and 'shrink' through modular assembly, inspired by the simple yet effective logic of roof tile stacking. The research question emerged from observing how single-form materials like tiles can be repeatedly assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured—essentially growing and shrinking at the architectural scale. Through systematic prototyping, the project developed a triangular module system that enables expansion along three axes, overcoming the two-dimensional limitations of conventional modular pavilions.
